Kuni natsuki

The CoverHound team has been growing like crazy, and we are super pumped about it! We definitely hire all stars, so we want you to get to know them too! Meet Kuni Natsuki, our newest Software Engineer. I asked Kuni a few questions about himself, and here's what he had to say.

Where are you from, and how long have you lived in SF? What brought you here?

I was born and raised in San Jose, just an hour drive down from San Francisco. I’ve lived in SF for about four years, allured by its startup culture, beautiful weather and proximity to home.

If you could go to dinner with anyone in the world who would it be and why?

Richard Feynman! He’s one of my biggest intellectual and life inspirations. I admire the way he lived his life--honest to his love, curiosity and values. I would probably be too awestruck to talk with him though, so maybe a dinner wouldn't be a good idea!

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained 1 quality or ability, what would it be?

The ability to chow down endless amount of donuts. (Ha! I agree that being able to eat whatever you want would be pretty amazing.)

What's the greatest accomplishment of your life?

I ate two dozen donuts in one setting. The greatest accomplishment quickly proceeded with the greatest remorse of my life. (It seems you and Yoshi need to go head-to-head. We hear promises of him eating a dozen Specialty's cookies. :-)

What would constitute a perfect day?

Pursuing my interest/curiosity, being positive and laughing with my peers.

What's the best trip you've ever been on?

Backpacking across Okinawa, Japan. I instantly fell in love with the people and the culture when I visited there last winter. I would love to live there one day! (That sounds epic!)

What's your dream vacation?

Being thrown down into the middle of the Amazon rainforest from a helicopter and relying solely on my primal wits and ability to hunt down anacondas for survival. (Yikes! You're brave.)

What's something interesting about you that you want to share with us?

I’m a (self-proclaimed) Greek yogurt connoisseur. A year or so back, I literally only ate Fage for about 2-3 months before I finally snapped and decided to eat some chicken.

Is there something you've always dreamed of doing? What is it, and why haven't you done it yet?

Packing all my belongings into a single bag and backpacking across South America. I’m still looking for a big-enough bag :P.

What brought you to CoverHound?

I was appealed mainly by its engaging employees and culture. I’ve also always been intrigued by the auto insurance industry and was excited by the opportunity to learn and contribute to CoverHound’s service.

Kuni, we're thrilled you joined us! Thanks for taking the time to give us a glimpse into your life. :)
