We recently had the pleasure of interviewing small business owner Eric
Ferrer. Eric owns a hauling business and needed to find a commercial auto
insurance policy that would protect his company’s assets. He shared with us
how easy it was getting insurance and how our resident licensed advisor,

Tell me a little bit about your background. How did you start your
small business?
In my previous line of work, I was a dispatcher with a fuel inspection
company. One day, my dad, who is a truck driver, asked me to look into car
hauling for him. As I began doing a little research, I learned that this
career path might be something for which I was more suited. I started
looking into opportunities for myself.
I liked the idea of being my own boss and working my own hours. After 11
years of service with my previous company, I knew it was time to start my
own; I decided to go for it. As of August, I have been the owner and
operator of my car hauling business,

Ferrer & Sons Transport LLC. Since then, the business has acquired a new truck, a LLC, and, should we
need it, commercial auto insurance.
How did you hear about CoverHound?
