Exciting Vacation Destinations

Planning a summer trip can be a tough task. There are so many places to travel, and you want to make sure that you please everyone that is coming on the trip. While you can always go with old standards like amusement parks, it might be more fun to branch out and visit somewhere new. Here are a few different vacation spots you can try:

Yellowstone National Park

Sometimes getting away from TV and Internet is necessary, and what better way to shut yourself off from technology than visiting one of the country's national parks? One of the most historic sites is Yellowstone National Park. With a one-time entry fee, you can peruse the park for a week and embrace the true grace of Mother Nature. You can stop at a campground at the park, set up shop and then drive around and take in some of the attractions like the Mammoth Hot Springs or Old Faithful.

Great Smoky Mountains

Don't let the name fool you, as the air in this section of the country is just fine. These mountains are breathtaking, as you can see plenty of towering trees when you drive through the natural fog that gives the area its name. Whenever you need a break from driving, you can pull over to one of the area's campsites and do some hiking or fishing.

Sedona, Arizona

While Phoenix may be the go-to city in Arizona, Sedona offers plenty of options for your vacation. You may want to pull over from your drive so you can look at the beautifully colored mountains and rock formations in the area. Keep your eyes peeled, as you could see some wildlife crossing the street. If you need to get out of the car and stretch your legs, there are plenty of spas and upscale restaurants in the area.

Chicago

If you are more of a city dweller and prefer to appreciate the outdoors from afar, you are probably looking for a trip to a major city. That's where Chicago comes in. The Windy City is packed with plenty of tourist attractions, such as the Field Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago. There are 77 neighborhoods - each with their own distinct personality - that provide you with plenty to do on your trip.

Toronto

If you have your passport, you can pack your bags and head north to Toronto. This sprawling city is as big as some of the major metropolitan areas in the U.S. and has plenty of affordable activities to try. You can visit some of the local hot spots like the CN Tower or take in a Blue Jays game at the Rogers Centre.

Before you pack up your car to take a trip, check to see that your auto insurance is up to date. Getting into an accident can hurt your finances, so make sure you are fully covered in case anything happens.
