Vehicle sales rising

Kelley Blue Book, an automobile valuation and information source, recently announced that it broke a record for company traffic to its website, with 31 million visits in March 2014.

As the platform is used by consumers across the country, the record-breaking number likely means vehicle sales will continue to be high this spring.

"With nearly 90 years in the automotive space and no signs of slowing down, our increased KBB.com traffic proves that more people than ever before are relying upon The Trusted Resource to help them in their car shopping endeavors," said Steve Lind, vice president of operations for Kelley Blue Book. "As we strive to build upon the information and helpful tools we offer on KBB.com, we are committed to providing vehicle buyers, sellers and partners with trusted insights and the means to accomplish their goals."

Those buying a vehicle are encouraged to be as thorough during the car insurance shopping process. As a vehicle is likely one of the largest expenses for a consumer it's important to find coverage, but also coverage at a low price.

Most popular models
Edmunds.com, a car-shopping website, recently gave Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota its Most Popular vehicle awards.

According to report, 10 of Fords' vehicles were given awards, primarily because of the popularity of its large trucks, as well as the Ford Mustang. Chevrolet and Toyota were each issued seven awards.

"Edmunds.com is in a unique position not only to offer independent and trusted reviews of every vehicle on the market, but also to see firsthand which cars and trucks most pique the interest of shoppers on our site," says Edmunds.com President Seth Berkowitz. "By naming these award-winning vehicles, we hope that car shoppers have an easier time evaluating some of the excellent choices available on the market today."
