When we asked our Facebook community “Which gender makes the car insurance decisions in your family?” we were aiming for the literal interpretation of “paying the bills,” combined with doing the diligence to find the best policy. In business speak we call this the account manager.
The data was really interesting.
We asked our community members -- both on our homepage on Facebook-- “Who/what is your favorite car insurance carrier brand mascot?” And the people have spoken, so let’s look at what they had to say.
It’s hardly shocking that the Geico Gecko is the favorite mascot among the CoverHound ecosystem; the ads are pretty darn funny. The acerbic green lizard was favorited by more than 30% of those polled.
Results from the CoverHound poll are in, and the findings are interesting. CoverHound community members were asked the following question on both our homepage and our FB page: When are you most likely to shop for car insurance.
Out of the five answer choices, the most frequently selected was “At the end of my policy term,” with 35% of the respondents clicking in.
The answer choice that attracted the second most respondents was “When I buy a new car.” One in three people shared that this is when they most often shop for car insurance.
